In my opinion a Metroid V 3DS game should be a sidescroller in which the appearance was similar to brawl. And I do agree with the Ice beam thing. That's one thing I absolutely HATED about Zero Mission was the inability to disable the ice beam. And the one thing I will give other m credit for in its usage of items is the fact that the ice beam's effect was used minimally once you had acquired other beams or on enemies where having the ice beam at hand all the time would slow you down. A question that I found intriguing however was, would they bring back Samus' power suit in Metroid V, or simply stick with the fusion suit?

I've said it before here, and I'm going to say it again, but we need to start with the Fusion Suit, damaged somehow, and we see her gradually restore her Power Suit to its former condition.

That idea sounds pretty cool but I don't think there's any reason why she would have her regular power suit. I read somewhere that absorbing the SA-X restored Samus's genetic condition and in between every game she gets rid of her old suit and just gets a Varia or regular power suit.

Yeah I think that's where we should go. Start with the Fusion suit as a base, then armor it up.

As for the Armored Fusion Suit, yeah, I love it too. The armor grows out of the Fusion Suit and becomes the Power Suit. It was the basis for my Repairs suit model (each upgrade repaired caused a part of the Power Suit to burst forth from the Fusion Suit).

And yes, I've read that interview with Yoshio Sakamoto too. Her genetic constitution is recovered (read: no more Metroid DNA), now time to have her reconstitute her suit.

Hm, not sure. Personally, while I "like" the Fusion suit, it pales in comparison to her Varia Suit, to the point where I don't really want to see the Fusion Suit replace her Varia Suit.

That's the real issue. I think, though, that if we get another game or two with the Fusion suit, people will get used to it.

Personally, I think it's pretty sleek. I didn't care for the color scheme so much, but she got her original colors back at the end, and it looks pretty good.
