Have you checked out my video I linked here on the forum? It's my ideas for Metroid in the next smash game in detail. I'm sure a lot of you may like a lot of the ideas I came up with. :dark:

I watched a bit of it, and while what I saw was good, one minor change I'd recommend: narrate it. You've got an hour long video that's all text and stock images. Try to condense it down, use narration to your advantage.

I would have but I don't have the equipment for that or know much on how to use it. Like it says at the start, it was my first video I've tried making. Maybe sometime in the near future I'll do ver.2 with voice narrative, hopefully my voice won't sound annoying though.

We don't even know if it's going to be called Universe, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

this is my first post, I didn't read the whole topic but there are a few things I would like too see.
-Simon Belmont and Alacard, I don't think a deal with Konami would be too hard. (Konami made snake, right?)
-Better Zero suit samus, me and 2 friends were playing earlier today, and I never realized how awful zero suit samus was.
-DLC, but not too excessive.
-more characters, but not so many it dilutes the current roster. (more clones with varying stats?)
-a half decent story mode
-fusion suit samus
-a gamecube adapter
-mewtwo, and no lucario
-other nintendo IPs that need characters on this game. (I guess Pico, even though we already have Capt falcon)

I would definitely go for Mewtwo, but why no Lucario?

I can tell you right now they'll never do Gamecube Controller support, if only to get people to buy their Pro controller.

Because, Lucario really grinds my gears. he is a shameless mewtwo clone, not in moves, but in appearance too. he is way overrated, and even in the pokemon games he is worthless. And on gamecube support, the whole smash bros series is basically fan service. If they didn't make it, a 3rd party will.

You take that back! Lucario's been on many a team, haha.

When you have almost 700 monsters/variants, its impossible not to have redundancies.

Why not just play it with the new Pro Controller? Is the GameCube controller really that much better? I'm not a Smash Bros pro by any means so I'm not sure.

You... are absolutely insane.

I used to like the GameCube controller like you, but then I got a Classic Controller Pro. Even though I really dig the big-A button layout on the GameCube, its analog shoulder buttons aren't exactly great for fast blocking. It's really easy to adapt to a Pro (be it the Wii or Wii U one), and I don't see how replacing a controller for an equivalent one will make the game any worse.

I picked up a pro controller recently, and it is pretty sweet. I try using it for smash bros brawl, but I don't have my own copy of the game. my friend comes over every other saturday and that's when I hone my skills. I used to have a copy, but it is a long story on how I sold it. And lucario is useless, my venusaur killed one in 1 or 2 hits even though it had no real advantage.

Just because you beat one once doesn't mean it's completely useless. A Magikarp can beat an Arceus given the appropriate conditions. Lucario's an excellent attacker, with high base stats for both Physical and Special. It can learn a variety of moves besides Fighting and Steel, including Ice, Electric, Psychic, Ground, Fire, Dark and Dragon type moves and it learns friggin' Me First. It is the bane of Dark, Steel, Ice and Rock types. And don't you dare use Beat Up on a Lucario with the Justified ability.

Critical hit.

It was super effective.

I just want to see more Pokemon in poke balls. I feel like I get the same 5 or 6 constantly.

You know what, I don't want to be responsible for derailing this thread. but either way, there is no denying he IS very overrated. A movie, seriously? the only worse pokemon is the new dark type that also looks like mewtwo, it is a never ending cycle!
