Yea, the boobs were the hardest part, and they still need work. I drew over a nude picture, so the shape is completely different. Looking back, this drawing is a prime example of the bad things that can happen when reference photos aren't used. At least it's photoshop so it's hella easy to change. The hair (and face in general) are what's highest in the air right now. I haven't beaten hunters, so i have no idea what her hair was, but I'll look up pictures. Either way, I'm adamantly against using Zero Suit hair.

Calico... if you're still reading this thread once in a while... do you care to divulge your real name to me so I can put it in the fan for life section on the MDb? Right now it just has your alias...

Ah yes! I had forgotten about that. Name's Jacob Barrons. Also, here is a better photo, if you care to use it. Still not colored yet, but that's not too far off... Hopefully...

Thanks dude! Updated.
Also, is 1 hour a good approximation of how long it took? Or do you remember it taking longer?
I'll update it whenever you get it colored. Just keep me posted.

That's awesome. If a day comes that tatoos don't hurt much to do, I would like to do something like that.

The pain, along with the permanence, is part of the reason they’re meaningful. The permanence is already compromised by laser removal. If the process stopped hurting, well... What is tha point of art if you don’t suffer for it?

coming from someone who's had 2 long-ass experiences getting tattoos, the pain goes away after an hour or so. The only time it constantly hurts is if you get it near very sensitive areas like elbows or ankles, etc. But it really isn't that bad. It's mainly because since the needle is going so fast, your body just forgets about it after a while and just accepts the pain. I'd compare tattoo pain as a mild, constant burning sensation. And according to TJ, my skin soaks up tattoo ink like a sponge.
It's not "painful" like paper cut painful or stubbing your toe painful or bumping your knee painful. But those that can't stand pain period, probably aren't gonna get a tattoo anyway.

I once watched a friend of mine get a tattoo that wrapped all the way around his bicep. The most painful part was underneath the arm, where the skin is especially sensitive.
I then saw a huge burly biker covered in tattoos walk over and watch this as well, and say...
"Man. That must hurt like hell!"
And everybody proceeded to stare at me when I was the only one who busted out laughing. Well I found the irony humorous...

I imagine the best places to put a tattoo is on the upper side of the arm or on the back, is that right?
Anyway, tattoos aren't much my style. I prefer a Metroid T-shirt.

Are you old enough to get a tatoo?

I found out about this forum from Infinity's End since he posted at my website. I have a Metroid Tattoo, in addition to several other gaming related tats!
Finished it in November. Took six weeks to complete, with sessions lasting 3+ hours each. The sleeve is on my right leg, covering the entire leg from the knee down.
For the back story see the Ars Technica article about it.
I was also on Joystiq.
List of games I chose:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Quake 1 (Symbol)
Mortal Kombat II: Scorpion
Metroid Series: Samus
Splinter Cell: Sam Fisher
Jedi Knight Series
Knights of the Old Republic - Darth Malak
Half Life 2: The Citadel
Unreal Tournament
Gears of War
Crackdown - Agility Orb
PICS!
