Dark Samus. Even though she's closer to Samus in terms of physical form, her attacks have the potential to be way different. For her Final Smash, she could turn into Metroid Prime and pwn everyone. Her charge shot attack could be a long, thick beam across the screen does minimal damage (like in the games). She could float. She has superior jumping abilities, and an insane Boost Ball attack. There's a ton of potential there.

Out of the Prime 3 hunters, I'd say Ghor. I love the Ghor, he's so bad.

Out of the Hunters hunters, I'd say either Trace or Sylux. Trace was plain cool, and Sylux was plain badass.

Ridley...

For third-party characters, which they've done before, so they should do that again, I'd say...

Silverevilchao wrote:And have Amaterasu from Okami as the new third-party character. She's perfect for the game - plenty of long-range (rosaries) short range (swords) and defensive (mirrors) attacks. Plus her Final Smash could be her turning into UBER SUPER MEGA GOD Amaterasu to own everyone with brushstrokes (Wind to push people off of the screen, fire to set them on fire and fly in the air, Bloom to make them fall asleep, etc.).

Ultra-sexy Cecil from Final Fantasy IV, either Dark Knight or Paladin, would be FREAKING AWESOME. If there's a Final Fantasy character that ever deserved to be in Smash Bros., he is it. Ultra sexy. *drool*

Ratchet from the Ratchet and Clank series would work well for the series, too. He has so many weapons that it would be really easy to give him a unique moveset.

Why does everybody want Samurai Ghoro? (Did I spell that right?) Is he really such an important character? He has no life outside his Racer. Neither Does Cap Falcon, so he shouldn't really be in it either. But I just don't think a game that's about cars, not characters should have a high priority on the character list.

I'm not entirely familiar with the F-Zero series, is there something about him that makes him great? I'd like to know more ^^

I think we should just give up on telling people to not suggest new characters, it isn't working...

Falcon is the only character in his series, while Mario and Zelda have what, five characters? I think Goroh would be a perfect addition to the series.

Um, of course you should stop telling them not to suggest new characters, that's what this thread is for, why would you tell them not do so?

Ye, the whole Mario series thing is pretty annoying >> I think Zelda couldjustify 3 characters, it should get rid of Toon Link and give Ganondorf a new move set, that would be good. But 4 characters, two of them are clones? Please.

Oh right ;/ Thought he might have meant that.

I removed it from the other thread, put it here.

Just some move sets for characters I would like. Characters I would LIKE. Please don't go on about Ridley being unrealistic, I would like to see him. Also, yes, there move sets might seem over powered. But these being my favourite characters, I can't help but want them to be powerful.

Rundas:

B - Charge Ice Beam it’s sort of a Samus move clone, but he needs some kind of ranged attack.

Down B - Shockwave of ice outwards, similar to DK’s Down B, but non repeatable.

Forward B -Charges forward, surrounded by ice, similar to falcon kick.

Up B - That skating on ice thing he does. Can be curved, like Lucario’s

All ice attacks freeze at higher damage.

Final Smash - Ice pillar/spikes shoot from the ground, spiking with high damage and knock back all they hit. Sides of pillars freeze, while the tops spike.

*Smash attacks would have an icy effect

Ridley:

(Assuming they found a way around his size)

B - Fire Ball. Balls, not a stream like Bowser or Charizard. Can be charged to release more at once. Tap will shoot one; Charged would be a scatter shot.

Down B - Tail pogo slam - Like in SM and ZM - bounces multiple times.

Up B - Fly, like Pits. Though, like ROB he can attack during and then resume his Up B.

Forward B - Charge, the attack Meta Ridley uses in his Melee Stage, would be similar to Ike’s forward B and Fox’s. If used in close range, rather than charging and attacking, he would grab the opponent and breathe fire in their face, as in SM, ZM and Fusion.

Final Smash: Transforms into Meta-Ridley, flies across the screen, sweeping with his red mouth laser and bombing.

Note: His model is the same as in Brawl, but smaller. His Meta form is also the same, but full sized.

I haven't done any A attacks, only Special. I imagine Ridley would have powerful Aerials. His D-Air and Back-Air would prolly be a tail strike.

AMetroidGuy wrote:I like your ideas, though thinking of some disadvantages to help balace the gameplay would be nice too. I’m curious, why would you have Ridley fly like Pit as opposed to Meta Knight or Charizard? Also, there is another thread for character suggestions, this one is more about general improvements to existing elements.

AMetroidguy said this on another thread, in response to my characters, so I thought I'd answer it here.

Like I mentioned in the post, yes, they're way overpowered. I might try and weaken them, but I don't think I could bare to do so.

And I just prefer Pit's flying, it seems much better. And Ridley is always flying, unlike Meta and Charizard, so it made sense that he had the best flying abilities available.

Dracula. His normal B would fire his signature triple fireballs, side B would make him teleport like he does in Symphony of the Night, down B would fire those larger dark spheres also from SotN, and up B would make him transform into a swarm of bats like he does in Portrait of Ruin. His Final Smash would transform him into a demon-bat monster that would be a mix between its Circle of the Moon and Portrait of Ruin incarnations. He would also have an insanely awesome taunt where he drinks a glass of blood and then throws it on the ground.

Alucard. His normal B would fire triple fireballs like his dad's, side B makes him turn into a charging wolf, down B does Summon Spirit, and up B turns him into a bat. I'm not quite sure what his Final Smash would look like.

Death and Frankenstein's Monster. Personally, I think it would do them disservice to make them playable characters, so they should probably be bosses.

Nice characters, but they would never get in. Too dark. Move sets for Franky and Death?

Snake was a pretty dark character from a gritty series, so that might not be an issue for Castlevania characters; they'd just have to lessen the usage of/references to blood and it would be fine.

As a boss, Death would fly around the room making mini-scythes appear and chase you down. He would also try to slice you down with his main scythe, and if you don't keep moving away from it, you get hit. He could disappear and teleport with you between him and the scythe like in Dawn of Sorrow, forcing you to jump to avoid getting hit. Copies of him would appear and slice vertically down at you. Finally, Death would make chains with hands pop out of portals like in Portrait of Ruin, and if one grabs you, then you're screwed when Death chops you down.

For Franky, his main attack would be trying to zap you Palpatine-style. He would also jump on top of you and punch at you if you got too close. His arms would also flip open at the elbow and fire either rockets or machine guns at you. One thing that would be cool, and also play into the Smash Bros. theme of the mixing of universes, would be where, instead of Franky being powered by electricity, he is powered by Phazon!

Fusion Suit Samus. Now as much as I hate clones, that would be pretty cool.

Like Samus, but faster and lighter, lower fire power though.

It would at least mean another Metroid character, but ANY other Metroid character should come before a clone.

They'd probably just make Fusion Samus an alternate outfit, like Wario's overalls.
:metroid: = Ultimate Warrior
8) = Ultimate Warrior
Therefore, 8) = :metroid:

Now you know why they call it Metroid.
