What are you talking about? Their attack style was COMPLETELY different.

Ridley flew around the whole stage.

Meta attacked from just one side, with completely different moves to Ridley.

They are in no way a 'recolour'

Hehe. Metaknight is supposedly unfair. He was even banned in Italy!

The reasons brought up for the ban in the community are:
-metaknight has no counters nor match ups in which he has no advantage over his opponents.
-metaknight is the easiest character to play at pro levels.
-metaknight is the character who won most tournaments/got the best placings among the cast.

He was banned for being too easy? That's insane. I found Meta Knight ridiculously uncontrollable.

I think this is pretty old news, You'll probably have heard it if you're an avid smasher.

That's so full of shit! I wonder if they are infringing on Nintendo's copy right? And he is not the easiest character to use.

Infringing on their copyright? I shouldn't think so. Stages are banned all the time, and I believe characters are frequently banned in tournaments of other games.

Ah (thx) , still I don't think the creator would be very impressed.

I imagine Meta Knight's creators would be rather pissed.

Wow, despite what I think I said earlier, I find Ike very fun to play as. It occurred to me today that I have never really used any sword-wielders, so I decided I need to play as one. After trying out Marth and Ike, I love them both. I've always been a fan of Fire Emblem, and had planned to use Ike before the game was released. Just saying how very glad I am to have found these awesome characters.

NOTE (read at a ridiculously fast speed):

Let's not forget that Meta Knight, being one of the most important characters in the Kirby series, was created by Masahiro Sakurai, the same person who created and directed the Smash series. Would Mr. Sakurai be pissed with probably his favorite character(maybe second to Kirby himself) in the game being banned? The answer is "Yes".

/note

Laz, Ike and Marth are very good indeed. They are two of the few characters who may make me afraid of a brawl.

Are you sure of it?

Ike and Marth are only good on a 1 VS 1, or maybe 3 character Brawl, only in case of Marth.

Ike is too slow to care of more than one enemy attacking at the same time. His dodging skills aren´t too much and his sword attacks are pretty slow.

Marth can confront two opponents, since he´s faster and has a better moveset, but even, the only-sword characters aren´t prepared to fight too many oponents, because Marth´s Falchion needs much precission to be really useful.

Yeah, Ike is really slow. But I've always preferred the power-house tanky guy.

I actually find slow powerhouse characters are easier to use in 3 or 4 man brawls because the other characters divert attention away from you, thus allowing you to land more of said slow powerhouse attacks.

I hate Dedede.

Ike is cool 'cause of the pleasure you feel when side-Smashing someone... And Great Aethering the opponent too...

I like overall quick and powerful characters, like Marth or Falco, that are really fast attacking, so it´s easy to make combos and other stuff, and have a powerful C-Side(If you know how to use it properly)

Sorry, but what is a C-Side? It it just a smash attack with the C-Stick?
