I wouldn't mind "donating"
 my MP2E, but I'd rather wait until I at least know when the updated version will come out in the US (which might not be for...who knows when ~ in 2009).
Haven't played the original Metroid Prime for quite a while now, so if the controls are nicely re-tuned and as good as Corruption's, this is one case where I'd happily buy the game again for full price  Hopefully, we might even get a little extra content out of the deal, as well. |

I really, really hope this isn't what they meant when they said a new Metroid was being produced...
But I love this idea!! Specially if both games are in one disk(there's definitely space on a Wii disk for that)! And... Will they have better graphics or just Wiimote controls?(I think the latter) |

^agree. If the two games are merged together, it would be nice to have a "New game 1/2" option, where, in a save file, once you're reached the starting point of Prime 2, if you want to start a new game in that slot, you can start from Prime 1 or Prime 2's starting point. I wouldn’t expect a major graphical overhaul, but they will probably clean up some stuff a bit, maybe improve a few textures and character models, lighting effects, cutscenes. Like they did for the Wii Version of Twilight Princess. And I imagine they will take out the Early Space Jump trick.

Sorry, but I wouldn't count on the two games being merged. Nintendo has NEVER done anything like that. They will force you to buy them separately and likely charge $30+ for them. If you're new to the games, that might be a good deal, but you still have to question it considering you can buy both used for less than $30 combined. I'm going to guess they'll want 5000y apiece in Japan.

... Check my post right above yours, wherein I linked 6 examples of exactly that. Yeah, I don’t remember that either. I only remember them saying that it was taking a break after Corruption, which would be the last Prime. How can they? The only suit out of 4 that she has in common with Prime is the Varia. Actually 8... I hope that it will still connect with Fusion or there will be another way to earn that bonus. I agree with Silver Skree, though, they had better not change the suitless model. Well, in Metroid Prime all of the suits minus the power suit use the same model, just different skins. In Prime 2 they can just mod the model a bit, it wouldn't take too much work to remake the Dark and Light suits.
How about having the Fusion suit come with Hard Mode? Though I actually highly doubt they'll keep the fusion suit.
IDK, I think it would be good if they had one standard Samus model. The Prime 3 Samus was ok, but it might be better if they just used a slightly changed Prime 1 face for both Prime 1 and 2. |

I knew someone would say that... From Nintendo World, N° 114. In NEX 2008 (Nintendo Experience 2008), an Latin American Nintendo Expo, Cammie Dunaway revealed that "we are producing new games from those series[The holy Triforce: Mario, Zelda and Metroid], but we only will reveal more information when they are near completion." And after AMG's thing in his throat, I'm really hopeful the re-releases will be released like Metroid Prime + Echoes or something like that. |

I wouldn't expect Both games on one disk...but maybe both disks in one case like the Prime/Echoes Bonus disk deal.
But this is great. As long as there are prime 3(ish) controls. And I want the unique part about aiming from prime 3 in there as well. I mean the arm cannon moving around when you aim thing. I need that in this and Echoes's multiplayer. If these are included, I'd pay anything for this. |
