I stand by my statement. Metroid + (MMO(or not) + RPG) = Epic Fail. A MMORPG is still an RPG.
I can see how you would think that a mmorpg where you can be a bounty hunter and explore the universe and fight evil parasites would be appealing. However, this said game does not have to (and should not) be Metroid branded. If Nintendo really wants to do that (which they don't), they can make it a standalone and not have to risk even more plot tangents and discontinuity.
Well I don't know, if Nintendo wants to make another sci-fi game I think they should fit it into the Metroid universe. We need a new Metroid series. A traditional RPG based on Metroid would probably fail, though.

The Zoomer attacks! Samus takes 3 points of damage. Command?

Samus defeated the Zoomer! Experience goes up by 2 points. Energy Level goes up by 5 points.

I wonder if I should elaborate again on the hit RPG of the year, Team Metroidu Force Star Warriors.

It's not released yet. But you will have to pay (once, not monthly) when it does. But, if you know the right places, you don't really have to pay for anything in this world.

ONCE!? REALLY!? I've been basicly ignoring this game just because I thought it was subscription! New KotoR, w007! (I still need to finish the last two!)

Basically, yeah.
I'm not 100% sure on that, since LucasArts didn't confirm anything yet, but it is the most likely solution. It will sell loads more if you know you only pay for it once.

Oh. It's probably subscription, all MMOs are. I hope the Stargate Worlds team(and BioWare) comes to the same conclusion you did.

You are correct, most MMO's are. But Star Wars Galaxies didn't do so well.
The Star Trek MMO looks pretty good but so far they haven't decided on monthly subscription or not.

Guild Wars is the only non-subscription MMO that comes to mind...What am I missing? I understand that LucasArts may want to increase sales after Galaxies, but BioWare has a great RPG series behind this new game. KoToR has a lot of fans, and they could probably pull Old Republic off with subscription fees. I hope they don't, though. I just noticed that all these new Sci-fi MMOs are comming out. I heard about Stargate Worlds, the Old Republic, and Star Trek Online around the same time. Is there an increased demand for sci-fi MMO or something?
