Metroid Metal, I believe. Wouldn't it be so cool if MM's music was actually featured in Other M?
As long as Kenji Yamamoto is still doing the bulk of the soundtrack, of course.
That'd be pretty awesome, and that other lady from Super Metroid who did the tracks in Fusion, now that would make one of the greatest soundtracks in gaming history. When I first got into Metroid, I didn't really notice the music. It wasn't until I saw on all those game remix sites that Metroid games were featured a lot I listened to the music and realized how awesome it is.

I love Metroid music... there's a song for all sorts of moods, and they're all wonderfully composed. I hope the same can be said about Other M. Judging by the enthusiasm of this interview I'd say they've got it all down... but we'll have to wait to see how it all turns out next year!

Nice interview, thanks. I see no problem seeing few folks from Nintendo other than the original director and some map producers -- if the map/level designers are the same from Super Metroid, I can only expect great things to come. That means the Metroid core is definitely there and all actual programming is being outsourced to the talented hands of Team Ninja. As for story or continuity, I couldn't care less. Metroid is all about solitary exploration of alien ruins. Much more important a competent musician -- oh, Hip -- than a scriptwriter. I don't care about detailed accounts of Chozo people or Adam Blitzkrieg or whatever: just throw Samus all alone in the planet and put some hypnotic ambient tunes in there and I'm ready to go!

That's pretty amazing. I mean, there were times when I'd simply stood still in certain areas listening to the music. "Brinstar 2" in particular, from Super Metroid, never leaves my Audio Overload playlist. literally lost in music...

Interestingly enough, I have the opposite view. I LOVE the mythology and plots of the Metroid series, moreso than the exploration aspect
My favorite aspect of Metroid: the MYTHOLOGY

Now Other M HAS to have a character named Adam Blitzkrieg, and have him be ridiculously badass.

Oh. My. God. That better be his name. I am not even kidding. Unless he's Armstrong Houston, that is. Or maybe he could go by Adam Blitzkrieg, and then reveal himself to be Armstrong Houston at the end of the game.

Unfortunately, with the already present Adam Malkovich, a second Adam seems unlikely.

Fine. His name will be mAdam Blitzkrieg.
He'll show up in one scene with his fingers through the bloodied eye-sockets of a Pirate skull, and his first line of the game will be
"Don't worry about the last boss. Already taken care of."
the rest of the game will be anti-climax.

Anti-climax in a good (i.e. funny) sense, or in a Corruption sense?
You know those classical pieces that you always hear in cartoons but you don't know the names of? See if you can find a few here.

the word would be anti-climatic...and what does this have to do with the article? Q/A
