Ahah, I could'nt buy on Gamestop because I'm on Canada and my CC is French. They don't want to ship to a country different of the CC :/.

Well, eBay was my only way to have it :p

This was taken from the F4F Facebook page regarding the U.S. Shipment of First4Figures' Phazon Suit Samus
US - got caught in customs at the port for a week which was a nightmare! Happy to say that these were released today so are now on the way to our distributor for processing. Not long to go now!
EU - this shipment is still in customs, but we expect to have it out of customs next week if everything goes smoothly.

Customs ALWAYS seem to pick on us :( They always check Nintendo stuff particularly as they are worried about letting fake goods into the country. They held our shipment for over a week and a half in the US. We showed them our Nintendo Metroid License so they finally let the shipment clear. Not long to go.

F4F Facebook

Hopefully we can start seeing Samus in the next few weeks. and this reminds me that i really should go find a site to order one cheaply from... :phazon:

So I was down there at NWS again for the Scribblenauts launch (Awesome DS game btw) and yes Scribblenauts gets a Nintendo World Store Launch and NOT MPT. I-)
and just figure that I should take a pic of the Metroid Prime Trilogy display before it is taken down for Nintendo to advertise their next big game-- Wii Fit Plus

I apologize for any camera glare it was a very sunny day in NYC today.

And even more of a close up of the game boxes. Notice how they say For Display Only...

I did ask a NWS store employee if i could have a gamebox or two. Sadly his reply was he would gladly give one to me if they did not have to ship them back to Nintendo HQ. Which at that point I thought was a waste since Nintendo would probably just destroy them, but rules are rules... z>.<

Also check the store to see if they were selling any metroid merch...none to be found :'(

Hmmm... I wonder why??? Because no one gives a shit about Metroid, remember?
To be honest with you, I'd have reached in there and stolen one or two of those posters hanging on the wall. Idiots are selling them on ebay for $50-60!!! AND PEOPLE ARE BUYING THEM.

Have you noticed that most of your posts now end up being about how know one gives a shit about Metroid.

- As I do agree with you, it is starting to burn a dark deep hole in my soul every time I think about it. Right now I just want to rant... but no. :'( >:( >_<

Sadly I remember all too well... :'(

I really wanted one of those empty boxes or a poster, but since it was a launch event for scribblenauts with over 100 ppl lined up outside the store, security was very tight today. It really pains me that all those display boxes or posters will be destroyed after the promotion event. What a freakin waste. >:(

and to the Ebay sellers...what a freakin ripe-off but can't blame them...blame NoA for not releasing more official metroid swag. and i blame Nintendo Japan as well for the lackluster attention to metroid in japan as well.

I'm really hoping Metroid Other M will set a new path and undo all the injustice that the Metroid Series has received. I mean swag wise they really have a fresh start with both domestic(U.S.) stuff as well as Japan stuff since it is being dev. by a jpn dev. team. Guess one can only dream z-_-'

Anyways, enjoy the display...it might not be much (heck it sucks IMO), but at least its something in the front of the store.

I think it's time to accept Metroid is not a game for the masses, and therefor it does not get the attention it deserves. Can we move on now?

And I feel my temple twitch every time you use that damn ' '

speaking of swag, that GameCrazy Metroid hat...yeah I snagged it for $14 bucks off ebay. You best get them now if there up there before those prices get jacked up to like $60 bucks like my Metroid Prime hat did. Wish I woulda never lost my original one, that was a pain to find, along with that stupid E3 pin....but hey nothing ebay couldn't eventually fix :)

why do you keep saying that?? you said it to me yesterday and now your saying it to Silvernite8.
Is it cause you don't have the money for this sort of stuff?
Is it cause you are jealous?
Just wondering cause to me, maybe im reading it wrong, that it sounds like we are wasting our own $ or something. Like your making us feel bad for buying what we love.
I'm not rich by any means, and I don't have $ to "spare", but I will spend good $ on any Metroid merch. I just find it kinda rude to say that every time someone buys something expensive.

on a related note: good to see you got yours silvernite8. Im still waiting for mine. i got the email a long time ago. i was wondering when they will ship them out. What # is yours?

VGM out...

I got three of the F4F statues too. 1 Varia and 2 Gravity (they were limited edition) hopefully one day I'll make my money back by selling the gravity suit one :P but doubtful

I personally don't have money to spend on those. I believe it was something like $500 total for all three. I just bought the original, and would have gotten the Gravity if they hadn't taken three years to make it (by the time it was sold, I had to cancel my order b/c I was out of money - sucks b/c I had a really low number!).

Times are tough. I work two jobs, and they don't amount to even 32 hours total (which is considered full-time in my state).

However, if you guys can take some good pictures of them, I would appreciate it greatly :)

(doesn't have to be extensive as my review but if you want to write your comments on the figures, please do!)
