Don't know if anyone posted this, but I really don't feel like reading through 7 pages of posts.
I just thought that the ending of Corruption hinted that Hunters would take place shortly after? I don't know of any evidence of exactly when Hunters took place during the Prime trilogy (although if there is, feel free to shame and discredit me). As for Prime 4/Hunters 2, just how many missions can you fit between Metroids I and II without making Samus super old?

Hunters occurred between Prime 1 and Prime 2, if I remember correctly.

The more I think about it, the more I think that that mysterious ship in Prime 3 is a dick move by Retro that will never be resolved.

That does seem like something they would do.

and i feel just wierder seeing noone has touched this dicussion for three months.l wow.

Or maybe Sylux is actually the girl at the end of the Other M trailer. It would be stupid if she was, though.

Or maybe we'll never see Sylux again and that ship in the end of Corruption was just a huge facepalm destined at all Metroid fans. Maybe.

Same here, I personally would HATE to see dark samus appear again. It worked the first time, but got annoying after killing her a grand total of 4 TIMES!!!! Also, I hated hunters, the story was... I don't even know. It was just all around boring (but that's just me, I will respect all opinions, but this is mine. don't get pissed 'cause I don't agree with you). If they dare pull a hunters 2...nevermind. Fusion 2 on the other-hand, I wouldn't mind that, but it would technicaly wind up as dread (wouldn't it?) I mean I'm not anti-dread, but, well I don't know. As for the ship I can't completely comment because it's been to long since i played hunters and my DS' l and r buttons are screwed up so I can't fire. But maybe If you looked at the flight patterns for the Delano 7, you might find out whether or not it's the Delano. But then again, it's usualy too small a detail to pay attention to, and they could of changed so.. once again, no clue.

Here me out.
It's Armstrong Houston.
Just keeping an eye on Samus. You know, so she doesn't fuck up TOO badly.
He would've handled the Prime trilogy a little different, but as it stands, Samus did ALRIGHT. I mean, she didn't tear out a Bryyon's eyes with her teeth like he would've, but not EVERYONE can be that awesome.
He was kinda bored, so he wanted to see how the galaxy's second best handled things.
It's a good thing Dark Samus never tried to corrupt Houston. He would have made that hollow piece of black armor his bitch for 10000 years and a night.

As sound as this theory is, I think your other one carried more water.

So true, Ing. But if Houston did deal with the Trilogy, he'd finish the three games in three seconds. Though you are completely right about the 10000 years and a night thing.

This how I feel, ...DO NOT BRING DARK SAMUS BACK!! (do you hear me Nintendo?!) I'm tired of fighting her already... If she comes back I'll go crazy! @,@;;
Back on topic, I read some stuff on the first page and my thoughts are this. I think that Retro wanted Hunters to be after MP3, even though --Hold on. ::looks at instruction game booklet::
I just read the 'story' on page 6, and it doesn't point out when Metroid Prime Hunters takes place.
I have a feeling that (tonight's going to be a good night--sorry xD) Retro put Sylux's ship in the ending of MP3 to let us fans know that this is when Hunters fits in to the storyline. Not this idea of a new Hunters game, that idea scares me to be honest. I never really enjoyed Hunters compared to the other games.

Too bad the consensus and timelines put Hunters between 1 and 2. So although that wouldn't be too bad a fit, it would still be "Uh, what is he/she/it doing just watching her this whole time? Uhhh....."
