When should we expect more screens/video of Other M?

Anyone have a good idea when the next wave of media will be coming out of Nintendo/Team Ninja? I know there are a couple conventions coming up and sometimes Nintendo does a Space World when they feel like it, but does anyone have a good educated guess when we'll get just a little something from the always secretive Nintendo?

Atleast 3-5 pictures and one gameplay trailer at the end of the year. And also possibly a small teaser at a gaming convention.

Nah, I bet they'll give us something 'till December. Sakamoto did tell us to expect a gameplay demo soon. Nintendo should offer downloadable Wii demos like they do for the DS...

I agree about the downloadable demos....

but I would never do that for Metroid. It's all or nothing. As a matter of fact, once we get a date and a little more info on the game, I may have to "go dark" on the whole thing. Too many spoilers...and I'm not just referring to plot. I don't want to know all the powerups.

I may likely follow your example. I don't want to develop any detailed expectations to hold for it. The next sick trailer I see I may just have to delete my bookmark for this forum. Forget about it as best I can.

I just want to have everything metroid related as soon as possible.

I'm sure we'll hear/see somethin by year's end, somethin to further wet our appetite. I also wouldnt be surprised if they (and hope they do) release a M.O.M. channel, like they did for Prime 3. Someplace where we can view video and screenshots.

Although I agree with you, it should probably be noted that they might do another Prime 3 on us, which is to say that the game will have powerups that even the instruction booklet didn't cover. For Prime 3 (but not Trilogy) the instruction booklet didn't tell us anything about the plasma beam, nova beam, X-ray visor, ship grapple, grapple voltage, seeker missiles, hypermode upgrades like hypermissile, and the ice missile. Finding those as I was playing the game without knowing they were in it was a hugely pleasant surprise for me.

So the fans can judge progress on the game and make sure Nintendo and Team Ninja are doing it right, they can then check the feedback from the fans and fix any inconsistencies that they may not have noticed, it's the usual process. I definitely don't want another Failout 3.
