the guy, in white robe, with wine...hilarious.
as for the trailer...eh it's Ninja Gaiden. Nintendo will not likely give Team Ninja the ability to do breast jiggle the way they always do. Hopefully they'll keep it realistic in cut scenes (which is the only place I foresee it visible anyway) unless they bring in more game play while in the Zero Suit (depends on how much sex Nintendo wants to sell this time around).
This will also be the first time Ayane is going to be playable in a Ninja Gaiden which means they will want to give the fan service to the players just like they do in DOA.

The second I heard Team Ninja was working on "Other M" I was surprised and pleased. Team Ninja is a group full of dedicated workers, as shown with the Ninja Gaiden and Dead Or Alive series. I'm expecting a fusion between Ninja Gaiden and Metroid, and I seriously hope they have a tough difficulty setting. I hope to see Team Ninja's amazing, fun and fluid gameplay, great character/creature animations, and to finally see the Wii really pushed to it's graphical limits. Team Ninja's like King Midas: Expect what they touch to turn to gold. I just hope we can unlock previous power suits to play in, like the Phazon Suit or even a Dark Samus skin. After all we did play as fiend Ryu!
Find something to believe in?

Steamlord wrote:Well, it doesn't seem like they showed every aspect of the gameplay in the trailer. At least, I hope that wasn't it. Samus barely even fired her arm cannon, except at close range as a finishing move, and the morph ball, one of the most famous aspects of Metroid, didn't make an appearance in the trailer. So hopefully there will be more to it than that.
Actually, they confirmed the Morph Ball in an interview. I remember adding it to the Wikitroid article months ago, so you should be able to find it there if you want to see for yourself.

Oh, what I was saying was, even though I wasn't sure at the time of the post, I didn't see how they could not include the morph ball in the game, so I assumed that that and other aspects simply hadn't appeared in the trailer. Like shooting.

I just really REALLY hope they get the camera right. In Ninja Gaiden 2, sometimes the camera is just a terrible pain. I will say one thing though - Team Ninja are masters at level design. I have pure confidence that it's in the right hands.
Also, their animators are awesome, so the game is going to totally rock.

Yeah, I've heard many complaints about the camera in the Ninja gaiden games. Hopefully, since Nintendo's leading the project, it'll be okay though. But who knows?
Thanks to Kaiser for the sig and avatar.

Well seeing as other m is a 2.5 d side scroller hybrid type game I don't see why camera angles would present a problem. Most likely the camera would be in fixed positions like in the other metroids. (Who really knows at this point though) Has anyone else played Viewtifull Joe? That was a 2d team ninja game, one of the greatest over looked games of all time I think. I am very confident that team ninja could pull off metroid. I only have 1 concern. Team Ninja games have always been very difficult .I for one love the difficulty, I feel that games are far too easy now a days. If I could breeze through a game with out a sweat then I think there is a problem. It was already announced that other M wont be as difficult as previous team ninja titles. How much of a impact will this lower difficulty have on team ninjas creativity? I hope they put in multiple difficulty settings so the people use to ninja gaiden, viewtifull joe, etc will not be disappointed. Seeing how there are multiple difficulty settings in their past games (even in newer metroid games) this shouldn't be a problem. I just hope its hard enough to satisfy me (ooo that sounds dirty) Does anyone else like the high difficulty of the past TN games? PS I can't believe there is no Blush emoticon lol

Honestly, I think Ninja Gaiden is just stupidly difficult at times. I want Other M to be fun, not frustrating. Naturally I don't want it to be a cakewalk, but I don't want to be throwing my Wii remote through the TV screen during the first five minutes either. Metroid is usually about figuring out what to do, not having the insane skills to do it. grampabird wrote:I hope they put in multiple difficulty settings so the people use to ninja gaiden, viewtifull joe, etc will not be disappointed.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but I really don't give a damn what Team Ninja fans want, and I don't think they should either. After all, this IS a Metroid game, and the Metroid fans are the ones they should be trying to satisfy.

Fair enough but I am a metroid fan and Ive been disappointed in the past by the difficulty (even on the hardest settings) I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants a more challenging experience without having to purposely skip missile and energy tanks.

Sure, I wouldn't mind it being a bit more challenging, I just don't want it to be ridiculous. Basically, I don't want this.

The last time I attempted to play a Ninja Gaiden game was for the NES, and I haven't really tried any of them since. I think it would be pretty cool to having some extra-difficult modes for those who want to lose 1? or 1/2 an energy tank per hit, but I'm more concerned about issues like movement and camera fluidity as it remains to be seen. grampabird wrote:Has anyone else played Viewtifull Joe? BZZT. WRONG. VJ was done by the now defunct Capcom subsidiary, Clover Studio, and NOT Team Ninja. How could you mess something like that up? VJ is a Capcom game! "Blush" is to depict as embarassment. Which is what these are for: So now since I proved you completely wrong, you have a chance to use them!

well I sure was told lol I don't know where I got the idea that veiwtiful joe was a TN game (could have swore I remembered seeing the whole ocean opening sequence every time I started the game. eh oh well) Steamlord wrote:Sure, I wouldn't mind it being a bit more challenging, I just don't want it to be ridiculous. Lol that videos great. Ya I wouldn't want that either but maybe for a optional setting

I downloaded and played the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo on my PS3 and really enjoyed it. One thing I'm sure they won't mess up with is... the wall jump. That was really well-made in NGS2.
I wonder if Team Ninja being Nintendo's partner means we might see Ryu in Smash Bros.? That would be a nice experience.
