Didn't know where else to put this.

Anyway, we have over 2,000,000 registered users. But that has shrunk down to only 96 active users (users that have performed an action in the last 30 days) left. Some users simply register but don't do anything, or make three edits then never return. Don't just tell me that Other M will bring us more users. Because they'll do either of what I just said.

We may have grown in page number and improved a lot, but we still need help in different areas.

So please, help save Wikitroid.

And on topic: I don't really know how any of us can help, man. What, you want us to sign up just so we can... edit shit?
What if what we edit is wrong? How would any of that save Wikitroid?

I mean, this site itself probably has as a whole 100 or less than a hundred active users (definitely less). What are YOU doing to save the MDB?

Emperor Ing: The MDb doesn't need help (or does it?). Wikitroid needs help. And don't worry if you do something wrong. You'll just be given a tap on the shoulder explaining what you need to do. However, any rules broken or you do it wrong too many times...

But seriously. If you read our POV (point of view)/Battle guide, images and citation policies etc. (links to all of them are on the welcome template we'll give to you when you register), you should be fine.

I have joined awhile back... but thing is, there is lots of work involved. And it's really hard just to post or update an entry. One of the reasons I joined was so I could help provide images and other useful information to the site.

I was committed to join when I noticed Admiral Dane didn't have a picture, so I scanned in a official copy from my MP3 players guide and input a entry. But then wiki asked for all this information regarding the source for the picture--what the date? what the publisher? Is this picture official? Who is the licensee? Where did you get this source from? On and on and on and on... I became really overwhelmed with all the information I had to provide. Some of the info I didn't know about. So from that day on I thought it wasn't worth it.

I completely understand why they ask those questions but, I wasn't even able to summit my picture because I didn't fill out the entire criteria. Rawr... maybe I will return once and again and help out, but it's hard when wiki creates these nasty bearers of information your forced to provide. It's a hassle.

The problem Wikitroid has MDb has as well. We have 1200 members (rounded up). Only like 100 at maximum are active.

I didn't realize one had to be registered to make edits. I've made a few, but I'm not registered.

LesserChozo: You don't have to be registered to edit. The admin's welcome messages just highly encourage it.

Well, anyway, if you consider the original Wiki probably gets much more viewing traffic than "active" registered users, then this is probably normal for any wiki. Unless there's talk of shutting it down, I don't see what the big concern is.

They may want to consider limiting edits to registered users, not necessarily restricting it. Are there any benefits to registration?

However, I've only fixed a few grammar and spelling errors; and reduced semantical vagueness in some places.

That's actually about the average for Wikipedia. The majority of edits are one-offs.

If you're looking for help in particular areas, maybe you should specify which ones and get some staff dedicated to those areas...

What types of things are needed for the Wikitroid? There is a lot of substantial info there. I have been browsing through it and have not found anything that should be there that isn't. I will monitor it for now until I see anything. Same username that i have here I use over there.

There are quite a few stub articles (articles that are too short) and it would be greatly appreciated if more people could help in that area.
