Miyamoto stated that the OoT 3DS port is just a tech demo, right now.
It will more than likely end up being on the 3DS because waaaay too many people are clamoring for it.

Re: Nintendo 3DSIt was also confirmed in the Nintendo Developer Roundtable. Aonuma stated that he wants to refine the Water Temple this time around and make it easier to switch your boots. If they weren't remaking it, they wouldn't be refining it.

Re: Nintendo 3DSI'm not saying OoT isn't going to come out; I know it's been confirmed. But it's still in a tech demo stage, as is Metal Gear Solid 3 and a bunch of other things.

Re: Nintendo 3DSSpeaking of tech demos, according to an attendee from M&C Gaming, apparently they've got a 3DS version of NES Metroid on display in Nintendo's booth.
No pictures of course, but it's nice to know that Nintendo is considering the Metroid franchise for a re-release improvement. I'm personally excited to see what the 3D effect might contribute to Metroid's gameplay or visual experience, but what do you think?![]() |

Re: Nintendo 3DSSince 64 games are so light (Ocarina of Time is little over 30 megabytes) and 3DS cartridges are so big (up to 2 gigabytes at launch), they could just mash a bunch of 64 games (Zelda, Mario, Star Fox, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros., etc.), remaster them in 3D and release them as Nintendo 64 Mega Pack!
But I doubt they'll do that. |

Re: Nintendo 3DSNo, they'd just make us pay 35 dollars separately for each individual game.

Re: Nintendo 3DSthey 'might' upgrade the polycounts, texture sizes, and draw distances too.
and dont forget stuff such as co-op and unlockable games that might be added. co-op starfox, who wouldnt love that? OoT and MM with GC level graphics! Maybe the big N will buy the rights to Jet Force Gemini and we'll get a sequel!!!! perhaps some sort of propietary tv interface allowing splitsceen!!! ***retreats to his imagination and stares off into space*** also, penny arcade's take on the e3 presentations ![]() Last edited by Archaic on 06.16.10 5:12pm, edited 1 time in total.
