That ridley one looked worthy of being in a movie, like they need a movie for the original Metroid, with that scene in it, and i'd watch it, now only if he could make a kraid scene, or mother brain he'd be set to make a short film!

Yeah... i actually had a little bit of difficulty liking this one after i went back and stared at it for a while. I gave Reiq some constructive criticism and he actually didn't take it very well, not to mention anyone else who may also show some negative feedback towards his work. He's a bit of a dick.

It's a program called StumbleUpon which takes you to random points of interest on the internet. Basically, it's a terrible, terrible addiction which can cause self-induced insomnia. But the picture is by Slipstream studios, whatever that is.

That really is an amazing picture tha tyou found on StumbleUpon. I'd love to see the Metroid series have that epic, breathtaking quality. It's mainly because of the sepia tones used in the artwork, but also the brush strokes....makes it seem almost surreal. Amazing.

Maybe one day we'll see somewhat stylized graphics like this. I'd want realism, but I'd also want it kinda gritty as well....this is a nice mix.

AMG: No, it was just a random image. The reason I linked it was because at first I thought it was Metroid concept art.
