Haha, good one. Fix'd. ![]() |

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!Immaturity is common once an argument takes place.
On the game, a chase scene AFTER getting the baby Metroid is unthinkable. IN the end, Samus was portrayed as horrifyingly beaten up and tired from all the injuries given by the final Metroids and the queen, and could only get out with the baby Metroid's help. A chase scene would be acceptable either before the fight or immediately after. |

Where was this portrayed? -Jesse D

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!Not actually shown in the game, but if you would think, after going through all that, Samus would not be in any shape to fight the queen again. Perhaps portrayed was a bad word choice.
My point is, that the fight with the queen was epic, and seeing the Queen crumble in front of your eyes then come back to life as if she were Ridley would be strange. |

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!She's not gonna crumble lol. She'll just fall to the ground.

I really love Wikia, FOX and Nintendo. Really... -_- |

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!I will say that it's silly to expect a fan remake to be a carbon copy of the original game. SM's engine would be great (if anything) for the map. But things such as having more Metroids, a chase sequence, etc sounds like it would be really awesome. Nintendo embellished the hell out of Metroid in Zero Mission, took some liberties and made some changes which I think were for the better.
Personally, I'd like to see a M2 remake that was all grayscale. -Jesse D

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!
That reminds me... whatever happened to the fan remake of Metroid II that used similar graphics to Zero Mission? |
|
Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!That would be AM2R, and progress is going well.

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!Yeah, the Doc is now working on the final areas of the game, so if you want to suggest anything you better do it quick before he finishs the game
I'm currently vouching for area names and a Super Metroid recap intro. ![]() "The world is changing and one does need to choose sides, and sometimes things change so fast that its hard to tell one side from the other." --George Abbot |

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!Oh, good! Seems like that's going to be one of the luckier projects that actually get finished.

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!Damn right! And it's gonna be awesome. I've tried the demo (Metroid: Confrontation) and I love it. I still don't now what happened to Metroid:SR388, but oh well.

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!
I'm wondering the same thing, but so long as AM2R is finished I won't complain. ![]() "The world is changing and one does need to choose sides, and sometimes things change so fast that its hard to tell one side from the other." --George Abbot |

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!Eh, I'd make the number of unfinished fan games higher. Maybe 5% of the ones that are actually finished are any good.
I must say that a Metroid II remake in Super is intriguing, but that sounds like a TON of work. It would be easier to just mod AM2R (I actually still have to try out the demo - I usually don't get excited with fan games).
LOL! Metroid: Clean energy from a civilization-destroyed planet near you! The sleep of Reason produces monsters.

Re: Metroid II SM hack!!!!!!
Actually CapCom, there's already a mod for Metroid: Confrontation (2nd AM2R tech demo) that changes the graphics to SM.
LOL! Metroid: Clean energy from a civilization-destroyed planet near you![/quote] Hehe, yeah that is pretty funny. But you gotta admit, he does have a point. |
