I didn't learn about lock-on until sometime near the Elite Pirate fight for the Phazon suit. (Almost) every Prime boss-battle had me at my knees. It took me forever to get the missiles. And, dear god, those Chozo ghosts... It helped a little bit when I switched to the power beam. Needless to say, I found the last three boss battles and the rest of Echoes extremely easy with my newfound lock-on abilities.

Excuse me, but... how did you manage this!? beating the majority of the game with free aim? You should get a medal.

Agreed, I'd consider that phenomenal work. How'd you beat the Thardus without lock-on?

I assume he must have been playing the New Play Control version... Right? RIGHT?! Please say yes... or my very perception of reality will crumble.

Heh, that's like saying "I was too dumb to find the stairs so I built myself a jetpack." Being awesome by accident is even cooler than doing it on purpose because it's so crazy so major points for you man.

Nope, it was on the gamecube. Am I really the only one who didn't know of the lock-on feature at first?

Yes, I'm pretty sure you were the only one. Also, I think you're the greatest thing ever. I mean, seriously. Even the old spice man would be impress. Hey, where's Satch?

WOW That would have killed me till I was dead. I once missed a platform when jumping in MP3. Dang I hate screw Attack in that game.

I'm replaying Prime 1 right now, and I'm desperately missing the Screw Attack. It may have been a significant downgrade from the 2D Games, but it was still awesome.

I don't know why, but the first time I fought him, I just epicly failed. I don't even remember what my problem was, because every single time after that it was a piece of cake. Maybe that first time my game glitched up and gave him steroids. Faybro wrote:Nope, it was on the gamecube. Am I really the only one who didn't know of the lock-on feature at first?
The first time I played Prime was when it first came out, and I was in Target trying it out. I too had no idea of lock on. Although, back then I was eight years old and didn't know what "Metroid" was.

Probably some kind of Phazon Steroids.
