At the end of Metroid Zero Mission, you must defeat Mecha Ridley. Then the escape sequence occurs, and the Space Pirate ship begins its self-destruct sequence!

  1. Jump in a parked Space Pirate vessel and begin to control it
  2. As the vessel takes off, a suicidal Space Pirate climbs up and jumps in front of you, and it incinerates on impact.
  3. The vessel flies out just in time!
  4. Space Pirate ship explodes from afar
  5. The vessel leaves Zebes’ surface and flies towards the screen, showing Samus inside
  6. Screen goes grayscale and “Mission Accomplished!” appears.
  7. Credits roll
  8. We are shown an image of an ancient Chozodia relief, where you received your fully-powered suit.
  9. Cut to a close-up of the bottom corner of the relief, where Samus drew a doodle of herself with the Chozo early in life.
  10. The Samus completion picture.
