Ah, I see.

Anyways, as HYRUL3 says, I think we shouldn't read so much into it.

Thanks ;)

I mean if we want to discuss potential for how her tech works, I'm all for it. But in a different, appropriately titled topic.

As for here, let's talk about our own beams that would be pretty badass.

I still want a Sniper beam or more laser weapons.

...In fact, seeing the beams from MPH would be nice.

When I was thinking about my idea with the Chrono Suit, I thought it would be cool if Samus had some other items in her arsenal that dealt with time. I was thinking about making something called the Temporal Beam. It accelerates the aging process of whatever it comes in contact with. It also opens portals that lead into other time eras.

There should also be one that can reverse the aging process.

Example:

Sheegoth -> Baby Sheegoth.

Easy kill.

Sounds nice, but can an arm cannon really manipulate time?

Also: Queen Metroid -> Omega Metroid -> Zeta Metroid -> Gamma Metroid -> Alpha Metroid -> Metroid -> Hatchling -> Egg? (With this 'Devolutioning beam")

Can an arm cannon shoot out 255 missiles? :(

I would just go with Temporal Beam. I don't know about everyone else, but I like to use certain terms that would make the weapon sound cool, like I did with Petra Beam. It sounds better than Rock Beam or Stone Beam.

Other beams I thought of that would be cool.

Particle Beam. Samus really needs one of these powerful weapons.

Super-Charge Beam. It's like the Charge Beam, but instead of firing one beam out, it fires a constant flow of the beam being charged. Imagine the Ice Beam, for example, working kind of like the ultracold gas that the Baby Sheegoths fire. zO_o

Pulse Beam. It would be like the industrial pulse beam in Metroid Prime. It auto-charges, and then fires.

Yeah.

I was especially interesed in the Particle Beam.

Also, the Super Charge Beam, would it be like the WaveBuster or Flamethrower from Metroid Prime?

Kinectic Blast. Sends enemies flying backwards, over cliffs or into walls or impaling objects.

The Charge Beam in Metroid Prime already sent them flying backwards.

Or do you mean even more?

Even more. Like, throwing enemies meters and meters away.

Ah, I see.

Does size/weight affect the beam?

Yes. It would probably be charge based, with a full charge blasting away larger items.

With various 'degrees' of charge?

Example: Super Smash Bros. Where you can shoot diferent sized beams.

Yes, something like that... you'd have some kind of lighting on the arm cannon that would indicate that it can blast 200 pounds or less, 300 pounds or less, etc.
